Wordpress I might go there.

I am sick of blogger's lack of features. I might move over there.

Very Cool

The guy on app a day has churned out some great applications so far. If you haven’t heard of it, it is basically a guy who will code a new app every day for a month and blog while he is doing it. One of my favourites so far is the Time Management app from Day 2. With this I should be able to see what it is I actually do with my day in front of a machine.

Spent the last few weeks making a Sudoku solver/generator in excel, only to find out one that is 10 times better on the interwebs. Great, if I knew this beforehand I would not of made one in the first place!

Windows XP guide coming soon!

Even though I have been using a Mac (and loving it). I still want to use windows for two main reasons. First is I am more familia with it than anything else (even more than linux), the second is gaming and the vast variety of software out there.

So this week I will be spending a certain amount of time writing up a guide to “making Windows XP cool”. I have always wanted to write what I do to get my XP rig running all nice and pretty and with Vista around the corner there is not much time left until this document is out of date.

Stay tuned and hopefully I will have the first chapter up here by the end of the weekend!

Mac is OK. It like works and stuff.

So the last real time I owned and used a Mac was way back in 1999 with OS9. When my Toshiba hard disk decided to die, I thought why the hell not, it's prettier than the Toshiba. So I am now the owner of OS X tiger. Oh yeah my missus isn’t too happy about me Indian giving (can I say that?), but oh well.

So for the last fortnight I have been using OS X for about 90% of the time. And the biggest difference with windows is the same difference with Linux:

I spend my time on how to do something instead of getting it to do something. In other words, I spend time on using my machine instead on of getting my machine able to be used. To say that I would totally move to OS X would be far fetched. But if vista leaves a lot less to be desired, I may be inclined to use windows for playing games and using a Mac/*nix set up for everything else.

Apart from games, OS X and Linux do everything a window does and better.

MAKE THE SWITCH!!
