Stopid spending.

I bought a few games last week. All second hand. Most of them I had already, and the ones that I hadn't sucked anyway so it was pretty stupid.

Anyway this is what I bought:
Gamecube:

Soul Clibur 2 - Link is kinda cool to use in this version. But the PS2 version is the best solely for the fact that the controller doesn't make you fell like a spastic little elf. I can’t really play this unless I get a arcade controller for it. Now that X arcade stick doesn’t seem like a bad Idea at all….

Godzilla: Distroy all monsters - 4 player battles, Huge monters in cities, smashing up the buildings and terrain etc. SO WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYTHING MOVE LIKE IT IS IN TRECLE!!!!!! BTW when I push the button, I'd like it to not be daylayed by 2 seconds either. Total rank bullshit.

Pikmin - I wasn't so sure about this game. And I'm still trying to figure it out. I got to day 10 today and find when it isn't intriging, it is a tad slow and boring. my sister thinks it is cute and has started playing it though. So yet another I won't be able to sell, but not play *SIGH*

Xbox:
Dave Mira BMX 2 (or something). Big Big yawn here. Nuff said.

PC:

Metal Gear solid - This game owns and I have decided to resurrect my MGS craze and have started collecting again. Apart from graphics and a First person View mode, it is exactly the same as the PSX version.

Metal Gear solid 2: Substance. (AS ABOVE)

Metal Gear solid 2: Substance. - Mental note: STOP HITTING THE BUY NOW BUTTON ON TRADEME!!!!!!!!!

Requiem: Avenging angel. A cool game that I have been meaning to play for like the last 4 years. And now that I have it I'll prolly just keep meaning to play it.

Tomb Raider 2 - Don't ask. I will be selling it.

Myst - After years and years of trying to understand what makes myst so bloody awesome (well according to my mates anyway). I though I will but this and give it yet ANOTHER shot.

PS2:
E-jay Club world. I liked the version for the PC. IMO it fit snugly between Music 2000 and Reason. As in not too simple but not overly complicated you don't know WTF you are doing. I heard the PS2 version is pretty shitty and so do I, but meh it was cheap.

Add about 27 SEGA Saturn games that I bought for no apparent reason, and then yeah it has been a money wasting week.

Looking foward to the DS? Me niether.

Found this Funny. Thought I might share it.

I might finish My DC

Well my Dreamcast has been in a sorry state for the last week (ie. in pieces). I was meant to mod it and post it on the bueatiful interweb. But alas as per usual I can't be arsed.
Ill get to it this weekend.

BTW

Frontpage sucks. I knew there was a reason I never installed it. The Sooner my macromedia package arrives the better.

Well I was playing EVE Online for about two days. It sux REAL bad. At first I found it quite engaging, trying to find out everything and how it works. But all there really is to do is Mine, Mine, Sell, Upgrade, Mine more..... and then a little more.... Mine Sell Join a corporation/clan/tribe/whatever only So you can Mine, Sell, and Upgrade as one big family. You are probably guessing WTF you mine eh? Asteroids. Yep thats right asteroids.

ATM I have been playing final Fantasy 7. Mainly for two reasons. One is because I bought about 5 PSONES (real Cheap) and the other is because I reevaluating my opinion on a turn based system. I have mostly shied away from it in the belief that IT IS FUCKING!! SLOW!! But recently I have come to prefer it it allows for a more concise and controllable battle system. Hmmm

Oh Yeah another Turn Based game; shadow hearts covenant totally owns. Go and Buy It.

Fuck What A geek.

Played through Medievil Lords some more

Well work sucks and so therefore playing games is the only practical thing to do with my time.

After a little more testing, Medieval Lord has a few faults. It is good but not great, the combat is lacking and a bit too automated for my taste I was hoping for a balance between the styles of Age of Empires and SimCity. The combat is somewhat lacking, having one sprite represent 10 soldiers and then leaving it down to a scripted battle which leads to a luck/numbers match. Some areas are lacking too, morale of your combat fighters is only important when they are not being fed for example. There seems to be no effect on your village unless becoming succumb to a battle. Enemy civilizations do diddly squat but for some reason the outlaws seem to do more. The military and fighting side of things is very limited.

The City mechanics are on the other hand AWESOME. The diversity of food, serenity, religion and building an economy has a great balance. Technology naturally improves over time and allows you to build more advanced buildings, and thus increase your population. The atmosphere of watching your villagers work and grow is pretty neat.

The control system is clean and easy to move around, the first person view is a nice addition allowing you to see the Villagers go through their daily activities. Which is just as well because there seems to be some nice eye candy to induce.

So if the military aspect is not that important I say go give it a shot. If you lied SimCity and other Older style build em' ups from yester year then you may love this. As it is though Medieval lords is pretty 1997 and not so much a 2004 AAA title. I wouldn’t mind renting it but unless you are a die hard fan of the Genre I would give it a miss.
